After an initial peak, interest and viewing numbers would drop and then plateau. So then, you have to ask whether it makes financial sense to provide the service of a constant broadcast for every second of pre season testing? Honestly, I don't think the numbers would stack up.

But broadcasters and @F1 are at testing. The amount of coverage yesterday, from highlight clips of the big incidents, interviews with drivers and Facebook Live broadcasts, was substantially improved on previous years. Balance is just about right, I think.
