Will be a shame to see Grosjean and Magnussen go, given F1 chances look limited. Both mega on their day. Grosjean seemingly angling for a future in Formula E/WEC, making very positive noises about Peugeot's Le Mans Hypercar project #F1
Kevin announces he too will be leaving. A raw, elbows out, feisty, gutsy racer. Another brilliantly talented junior champion, an F1 podium finisher and a really fun guy to be around. I’d love to see @KevinMagnussen finally get the @Indycar shot the McLaren debacle denied him.
Not a great shock, Romain’s looked increasingly like a guy who’s made peace with the end of his F1 run, but I’ll be sad to see him go. Quality racer, multiple champion on his path to the top, F1 podium finisher, and a lovely guy. Wish @RGrosjean all the best.
BREAKING: Romain Grosjean says he will leave Haas at the end of 2020, ending a 5-year stay with the team #F1
So this year’s experienced drivers have been and will be providing the feedback that leads to next year’s car, but then all focus on the big opportunity that is 2022, so resources have added importance #F1
I hope Haas realises that they need an experienced driver who knows how to develop a car in the team. They need to fix or further development this years terrible car for next year and i don't think that two rookie drivers will be the best solution.
Haas will not be renewing contracts with either Magnussen or Grosjean. It'd be good to see Nikita Mazepin in one of those cars - particularly if Hitech are involved; and another door potentially opens for Mick Schumacher. Hopefully Nico H will also be in the mix.
